Any other members own one? I've been on the fence for a while now but after seeing this
I'm definitely being drawn to getting one.
The dji mavic is just ticking all the right boxes looks a fantastic piece of kit.

Saw the video for this the other day, it looks awesome. Just not sure if I would use one

No don,t agree with them. They need licencing too many people have been hurt by them when some person who does not know how to fly them looses control and it crashes. Not saying they do not have their uses just I've seen some superb footage by some local photographers from them.

@Roadrunner im with you on the licensing and to be honest I think it won't be long in coming.
But for the sensible folk out there and use it within your skill level I don't see a problem with them and like you said some of the captures are amazing.

Big problem with any Licensing scheme, it is only the honest sensible people that bother, the lawless idiots don't bother. Interesting to know if your regular house insurance would cover you for the potential damage/injury that could ensue if it all goes Pete Tong?, but they do look great fun

We use them in work for photogrammetry surveys, with a predefined flight plans but our pilot has to have a licence because its for commercial use. He makes his own mini drones on the 3D printer and flies them using his VR googles, pretty impressive stuff. They are a bit annoying, I think there are plans to ban them from national parks.

I'm not against the results you get from them, just don't fancy anybody flying one over my house while I'm bathing in my speedos !!

I don't think your home insurance would cover you, I remember racing nitro rc's the governing body had 3rd party and liability for all the racers.

It's good target practice for my air rifle !!

You reckon you could hit one though? A guy locally took one out with his 12bore all got a bit silly with the police he claimed he was shooting crows and saw something black moving and got away with it!

What have you got?
Considering getting one and the favourite so far is the Air Arms S410.
Very nice gun, I got mine because I liked the timber. A lovely bit of walnut with rosewood inlays and a thumb hole stick. Only negative is the blueing is a tad thin and I have to carry a silicon cloth with it.

Not tempted either th s510? New Weirach looks quite tasty too.

Has it got LED lights?

;)

You jest but my favourite rifle ( a Login s16) has a 1000 lumin Cree LED mounted on top of the scope so it's easily done!

I think we've high jacked this thread !!
But yes if it was within range I don't see why it couldn't be hit, that's an important feature @Polzeylad , in fact when I purchased mine I got wood as soon as I saw it !!.
No LEDs on mine , sorry I said the "led" word .
