Door Seals

So bought extra door seals from the forum shop and tried to fit them tonight, cleaned door with meths and used a hairdryer to hear the door slightly and rubber just keeps falling off around the bends. Load of

Sorry to hear that. I bought mine from the forum shop and they fitted perfectly. Have you contacted @Pauly ?

I used some m3 tape and managed to get them to stick, then closed the doors, I'll leave it in the garage overnight hopfully they'll stay on now.

@Vkerr May I suggest you use the hairdryer to warm the door AND rubber in each problem area as you go round the seal and press it down firmly, if necessary closing the door when finishing one area before continuing with the next. Normally these seals go on well and hold firm.

Second that, you will need to warm the door metal for best adherence

Yeah I had used a hairdryer to heat the metal and rubber but it just kept falling off, the extra tape seems to have done the job, hopfully they'll stay on. Off they fall off again they're going in the bin.

Very strange, not heard of any other reports of them falling off previously. Had mine on for about a year now they’ve never shifted. Hopefully a bit of extra 3m tape will sort the problem.

I think your use of meths for degreasing is your problem - it can leave behind a residue.
Much better to use IPA.

There must have been some sort of residue because the drivers side stuck on no problem, strange, but I think I've got it sorted now. Thanks for all your comments.
