Does anyone know about Dawson group servicing?

My (new to me) T6.1 came from Dawson group with good service history but it’s just a list of services with no information. I was just wondering if anyone works there or has dealt with them and can enlighten me?

Bought my van in the summer of 2024 (2016 T6 T32 4Motion in reflex silver) from Jordon Farrington Commercials here in Nuneaton, advertised with full service history (145k) but there was no documentation to support, chased up and was told the van came from the Dawson group who are difficult to get hold of or communicate with but that eventually they would get the service history for me. I called Jordon Farrington's on numerous occasions but the service history was still not forthcoming. Fortunately for me the company that had the vehicle originally (assumed rental from Dawsons but Dawsons are an auction company as well) had removed their livery van stickers but left the impression of the company name in the paint on the bonnet (still not removed after a few t-cut attempts). I called the company, Maple Control Systems, and they informed me all of their vehicles were serviced by JTC600 in Wakefield, a VW dealers. Called them and was informed they could give me the service history for £30 if I attend in person with the log book. As this company is a VW dealers I called Listers in Coventry to see if they could help and they emailed me the service history within an hour for no cost. It is a one page document but it shows the millage and what was done at the time. I do think Jordon Farrington's should not advertise a vehicle with full service history if they do not have it to go with the vehicle at the point of purchase, having said that they did do an oil and filter change for me in the interim but I never heard any more from them. A bit long winded but somewhere in the context there maybe some information that is of use to you.

If the seller cant provide suitable evidence of a service history they shouldn't be advertising it as such. One to make trading standards aware of - they won't act in isolation, but if your report forms part of a pattern of behaviour by the seller itll help them.

Personally id not have driven it off the forecourt without the history, but I suspect that's something you wont be caught out by again.

I normally would not have, but it was the best 4Motion I had seen in the colour I wanted and I felt assured the service record would follow, will not happen again, yes a lesson learnt but solved, thank fully
