DMX7017DABS Kenwood Bluetooth compatibility

Hi

Recently got a new Samsung s24 phone
That does not connect with Bluetooth of kenwood DMX7017DABS

Checked Bluetooth Compatibility List | Kenwood
Sure enough my phone is not listed

Just wondering if any has managed or is it a case of a new unit (seems a shame)

Have a look here at the firmware , but as you can see it’s probably minimum of 7-8 years old, unfortunately phones are evolving all the time with their firmware updates but the head unit just sits in the dash year by year

In the end bought new head unit , DMX8021DABS not cheep but a straight swap of cables and up and running in less than 10 minutes

@Absolut5, was looking at the 8021DABS for my 2016 Gen Six Caravelle, the T6 kits you see online seem to always include a DAB antenna as well as the various wiring adapters but I already have DAB, do your kits use the current DAB set-up, and would it be a relatively straight forward swap out ? Any chance you can quote me a price for the full kit ?

Can fully recommend @Absolut5 kit. Fitted to my 2018 T6 using existing DAB aerials.

My son has this unit in his C-Max and had the same issue. He just uses the USB connection to the headunit and everything works fine. Not great but cheaper than a new headunit
