Discover media turn on volume

Hi all,
I am hoping somebody has an answer to this as its driving me crazy.
We have a 2015 Tiguan family car and it has a factory discovery media head unit. It works perfectly apart from the turn on volume doesn't seem to be able to go lower than level 3, which is just a bit too loud if you are trying to chat to somebody. I have gone through the menus and tried everything to adjust it it with no luck? I have plugged in Carista and couldn't find any stereo settings either. Weirdly on a recent long journey it randomly would let the volume go down to 2 an 1 but as soon as the car switched off it went back as it was!!
Am I being thick? Does it need an update or vcds to change it??
Any help would be appreciated.......Kev

Ahhh I know exactly what you mean. I retro fitted a discover media in my T5.1 and configured a much lower turn on volume than I can in my T6. Unsure why?
I have looked at option in VCDS and can't get it any lower.

I've managed to sort this if it helps anybody else out there.
Stupidly easy fix as well.......I had the equalizer settings for bass treble and mid all high up on the sliders. I turned them all to the lowest setting which reduces the volume. Then tweeked them up just a little (way under half way on the sliding scales) to get the same sound profile as before but much quieter on the lowest volume........I can't believe I didn't try this year's ago......what a Muppet!!
