Disconnecting Front Seat Wiring

Hi all after a long time lurking on this forum I have finally gon ahead and bought a 2018 t6 highline that I will be converting to a camper.
First job is to remove the bulkhead upstanding so I need to take the front seats out. I have the dual passenger seat with the connectors going through the bracket in the middle. In order to avoid error messages when I disconnect them do I need to disconnect the battery or will I be ok if the ignition is switched off?
I also need to disconnect the wire under the drivers Seat so will I also be ok to just have the ignition switched off?
Cheers
Paul

Just turn the ignition off, you don't need to disconnect the battery.

yes, just dont turn the ignition on while things are unplugged or you will get an airbag warning light that will need to be reset to clear

The plastic cradle is only held on with two screws - you should be able to unscrew it and leave wires all connected. The single seat has fixings for the cradle too.

Correct, yellow is airbag and the black one will be the occupancy sensor for the seat belt and/or heated seat connection

Damn. Wished I'd read this before I stripped van, removed seats and likely turned on ign at some point. I best be investing in something to do a reset with. Nuts.

Carista is a cheap option to reset the airbag warning. About £15 and you get a free month trial.

Thanks. I'll get one. The worst thing is, I only turned it on to check the time coz I was too lazy to stretch to my phone.
