Does the digidash hdmi go to the output hdmi if the alpine

Hi, It's a commonly asked question and the same scenario I faced when I had my halo 11 connected up. Ultimately the branded Alpines kenwoods and pioneers etc. Will never have the licencing rights to mirror Android auto or carplay, these units and other official Android operating system units may also face the same issues. That the Android licencing agreements that they have will not allow screen mirroring sharing or casting of certain apps in that way too.

The good news is I have developed a really good solution available on my site that will plug into your Halo head unit and convert it into a touchscreen Android operating system and so it was a tablet with full Android store access but whilst also allowing a full HDMI mirror of everything it sees as a second output to the DigiDash. With the added benefit of being able to connect to any Wi-Fi signal having its own built-in GPS and onboard 8 gig of RAM 256 gig of storage and supplied with a nice remote control meaning it can also be used as a TV box. My connected sim option with that box Is it one off £250 for a subscription free 5G capable SIM. Albeit installed in a 4G capable device the download speeds can still tip 250 mb/s and roam all over the world.

Anyway, here is a link to the kit that will turn your Alpine into a touchscreen screen android (using the carplay USB), and mirror everything it does onto your DigiDash via a dedicated mirror hdmi. By the way the box also handles the wireless Android Auto and CarPlay beautifully too.

Image attached for reference, I am in the process of releasing a V2 box with a laser cut heatsink, so it can be securely located behind the dash or even behind the Digidash for those who just want to forget about it and utilise it's connectivity, everything can still be accessed via the touch screen or remote once connected up.

How would my fire stick work if I use this? Only one hdmi in port.

What would you need it for? This box connects to the Alpine using the CarPlay USB (and converts it to wireless AA or CP), but it also features a complete Android operating system with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Storage. Put the Amazon stick in another TV that doesn't have a glorious touchscreen, which is being underutilised. This allows you to install any Android app you want! More choices than the Fire TV, a better remote, and touch screen enabled on your head unit!

The only justification I can think of for the Fire TV Stick beyond that is for accessing LUNA games (if you have the Wi-Fi controller and a Wi-Fi network). However, that's of little interest to most, unless they have a child who is obsessed with the game 'Fortnite'.

Consider also that the Fire TV is subject to additional rules, including restrictions on downloads and storage. My box can grab all your Netflix or Prime content and download it to watch later, even when you're in a remote location with no internet connection, perhaps.

It has Wifi access, GPS, SIM tray, Octocore processing, MicroSD card port, USB-C (to connect to the car - any car), HDMI out (to connect to the Digidash or any TV), includes a backlit remote control with airmouse, keyboard, trackpad, USB-C recharge port for the internal battery.

The new V2 box ships with a tested heatsink that does a great job of cooling more efficiently than anything else on the market. Additionally, it offers more storage location options. The latest firmware and launcher software are available on my regularly maintained customer support Google Drive.

Anyway, if you'd like to discuss further, it's best to drop me a quick call, or we could switch to a video call if I'm near my van to demo and provide further details.

Thanks - Ant

P.S. Anyone who would like their box updated with an aluminium heatsink, please get in touch, and we can arrange a postal update to the unit at no charge (appart from covering postage to me :))
