If you pick the van up from the dealer do you still pay “Delivery” £640 on the invoice?

On a new order van thats the delivery to the Uk fee.

Yes, that's the shipping costs from manufacturer to dealer. It's a standard cost whether you buy VW, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Citroen, etc.
It's the same fee if you buy a new motorcycle as well.
