Dealer can't solve .. please help !

Good evening everyone,

My T6 2.0 CFXA 150hp (2018) 150.000km (93.000miles) has been at the Volkswagen dealer for a week now. They haven’t been able to find the problem, and it’s difficult to reproduce, so I’m giving it a try here in the hope that someone might be able to help me:

On a cold start (in the morning), after driving for about 15 km (right around the time the oil and engine reach proper operating temperature), my car jerks quite heavily a few times. This usually happens when I’m driving calmly and then begin to accelerate. Before and after this jerking, there’s no issue — the car drives completely fine.

The dealer can’t find any fault codes and says there’s nothing wrong. They told me to come back if it gets worse and a fault code appears.
In the meantime, one of the EGR pipes has been replaced (I was smelling exhaust fumes in the cabin), but apart from that, nothing else has been done — and they don’t really know what to do with it.

Before bringing it to the dealer, I made a VCDS log myself, and I did see a few errors in that. Somehow, the dealer can’t seem to retrieve those with their own system???

But the van is at the dealer till tuesday, the chief mechanic wants to reproduce it himself.

Regen happens a lot, at least every 600km - 1000km. Does that from the 'beginning' (bought the car at 26000km)

But in this case: no, not that i am aware of ...
 
After a holiday and lots of problems with the dealer i payed total 4200,00 and still have the same problem :-(

Dealer cant seem to locate the problem. After losing more than 1500,00 asked them to replace the EGR .. i thought that that might be causing the problem, but bad luck.
The log file looks endless..

Right now the car even shuts down when driving. After re starting, the problems are gone. It only happens when the car is at the point of getting at his normal temperature

Quite a few codes related to supply voltages in different controllers. What happened at 154182-154183 km?

Please clear all the fault codes, drive a bit, and let's see which ones come back.
Note: probably need to clear the codes in each controller individually (instead of the broadcast clear under Auto-Scan)
 
I think that the car at that moment shut down completely while driving.
I cleared al the codes and will try to make a log file tomorrow. Problems happens every day (more or less)
 
Here's a left field suggestion ...... I've had this happen with 2 different VAG cars, both diesels and flummoxed the hell out of everyone until a greasy Lucas Diesel mechanic from South London diagnosed it.

On my 1996 Audi A4 90 bhp TDI (T,D, and I, all silver) auto, the catalyst innards broke up and clumped into a ball. Everything fine on the flat, uphill, down hill, urban roads, motorways ........ just brake slightly sharply and the ball rolled forward, blocked the exhaust down pipe and was then blasted backwards and blocked the out pipe from the catalyst. The only sensor down there was the lambda sensor and it didn't log anything untoward but the engine went into limp mode and stayed there until a restart.

On my 2002 Passat SE TDI PD (Silver T, red D and I) 130 bhp DSG similar thing happened, but this time the ball only rolled backwards and only when the gearbox kicked down whilst accelerating up hill. Again a quick restart cleared limp mode.

It looks like the Audi catalyst was shattered by driving through a deep puddle and the Passat cat just gave up the ghost. Audi fixed the A4 under warranty and I paid for a a new aftermarket cat for the Passat from a franchise tyres/exhaust/mot garage after phoning around for 3 days. VW wanted to change the turbo because all the evidence suggested there was an air throughput issue. at 100000+ miles VAG weren't going to contribute.

Another weird thing to diagnose is an intermittent ground issue between the wobbly bits (engine/transmission) and the the chassis which would play into your odd voltages. Easy to test with a single jump lead between a chassis ground and an engine bolt whilst driving.
