Day Van battery help/advice

dear people more electrically minded/camper experienced than I….

I have a t6.1 Velle and will be taking kids out for nights away as the days get warmer (one night at a time)
Fairly happy with our camping/gas based kit but, electrically, I want to run a 45w fridge for 30 ish hours and maybe charge an iPhone or two and have the interior lights on a bit…

question is: will this kill the battery (standard set up currently)?
If so, will a larger main battery cover it or do I need a leisure battery set up?

We have a decent compressor fridge in our camper, and that will empty the leisure battery in about 2 days. Add your other requirements to that, and the need to be able to start the vehicle at the end of your stay, and I would say you need a separate leisure battery.
You need to add to that a DC-DC charger to charge it when you drive, and you might as well get one with solar inputs, so you can easily add solar panels in due course.

noob question - does the leisure ‘support’ the entire circuit -or- do I have to choose the sockets/outputs I run off the leisure and require?

It supports whatever you connect to it. Its best to connect anything you know you will need when parked up - sockets, USB, fridge etc, to avoid flattening your starter battery by accident.
