CXGB Vacuum pump

Been advised to check the vacuum pump for coking issues on other vehicles I have found it on the side of the block but unsure where it is on the VW lump 2.0 CXGB anyone able to advise?

Integral part of oil pump.
What's the issue behind? No vacuum = no brakes? Has the pressure actually been measured?

Turbo went last year November been off the road since then we put a new turbo on and it blew despite replacing oil feed return etc the first one we think went due to the blocked DPF which was cleared but no real explanation why the new one died hopefully covered by warranty.

I guess no pressure measurements across the DPF were made - before and after the clean-up?

Afraid not can do stuff like that now though as have bought a genuine VCDS cable so don’t need to rely on anyone else for one.
