Currently stranded on m1 jct 25 sliproad with undercover destroyed.

Hi all, went through some standing water on the m1 North an hour ago as the heavens opened doing no more than 35 mph. Warning light came on for check oil level sensor and engine undercover is destroyed. Unbelievable. Currently Waiting for recovery. Not a good day.

Maybe matey, Steve at crs says it may have pulled the wiring off?

Happened to me a few years ago, heat shield pulled wiring on to exhaust and melted the insulation, the sensor its self will almost certainly be fine, either way it shouldn't stop you driving.

It should be easy to see the problem when you get under the van, VW wanted to charge me best part of £300 to fix the wiring, did it myself for £0.00.

Thanks matey, already found 3 wires ripped out of the connector. Hopefully it's just those
