Thought I'd share my current setup, see if anyone has any comments on it? It is all as came with the Velle when I bought it privately 2 weeks ago.

I have the factory starter battery and a factory leisure battery.

I have an aftermarket dashcam (Thinkware F770, parking camera disabled for power saving) and towbar electrics (ECS 5F010 CAN Bus Trailer Module and an ECS 20 201 101A 12V 20/30A).

I have an aftermarket inverter (Mercury Soft Start Modified Sine Wave 600W 12V) under the driver's seat, disabled for power saving. The inverter supplies two mains sockets in the rear, these also have two USB sockets each. There is an aftermarket switch on the dash which disables these extra USB sockets (not sure why it doesn't also disable the mains sockets).

Under the driver's seat:

The second photo is something I'm curious about, what is it? And are all those plug modules of any interest for future options?

Under the passenger seat (I do have the rubber cover but removed it so I could see what battery I have (same as the starter):

The shiny white box in 1st photo looks like a little junction box, I don't like the look of the little module with the bare connector sticking up in the air.
The last photo is just a mass of red wires.

So, no idea if this is good, bad or indifferent. Interested in any feedback though.

I really, really like the setup Nick recently did in his Caravelle, and am thinking to copy most of it myself in future, if it is possible for someone with limited experience like myself. I would like EHU & consumer unit & MPT & smart charger under bonnet, charging to both batteries via EHU with DC to DC, smart battery protect, and shunt under passenger seat. I would like the rear sockets powered by EHU when it's connected, leisure when it's not (automatic) and possibility to add freestanding solar later. I'm open to swapping out the inverter for a Victron if that might have some advantages.

Thanks for looking!

Looked at this yesterday, I thought it was because it had more than 10 attachments so I deleted a couple of pics, it made no difference though

Oh well, I see it in the Electrics forum now, not sure what the problem was/if there was a problem at all.

Curious if anyone has any comments on my setup, or future plans?
