Cool Interior Ideas

Almost finished doing the sound proofing and thermo liner in the rear of my Kombi, so am starting to think about how I finish the rear passenger and boot area.

I think that carpet looks really clean and there are some fantastically made examples, however, I am looking for something a bit different maybe.

What ideas have you guys had or done, and what have you seen on other vans that looks cool?

I really like the idea of either the slat wood ceiling idea or even Hex Ply to match my Ovano as I really like that stuff. I just wonder whether hard panels will make the boxy shape echo?

Another option is a contrasting vinyl stitched material perhaps?

Presently I am also torn between carpeting behind the panels or leaving the painted sections exposed. Has anyone left theirs and only replaced/covered the panels? How good does it look?

My van is Chestnut Brown btw, in case you missed my username. :)

I left the painted bits uncarpeted in my Silver T5, partly because I couldn't be bothered attempting it but also because I liked it that way. My T6.1 is fully carpeted except for the doors (panels only) I do like some body colour on the inside I've decided so that's fine too.

Might do a slatted ceiling at some point, they do look good, currently have a full suede ceiling, not keen on that stuff but that's what it came with ...

I like the painted sections too, hence being torn. Glad to hear I am not alone. Thanks for replying too, as had almost given up on getting a response. 👍🏽

I have decided to get the Hex Ply panels ordered from Vanbus, as per other thread. Photos look exactly like what I am after.

Holding back on the ceiling bit for now though. Slat wood keeps drawing me back for sure. Suede looks fine, but not what I would choose for myself either.
