Please don't take this the wrong way, I intend no disrespect whatsoever. Consumer units don't come with a wiring diagram, it's assumed that anyone buying one would know what's what. The fact that you've asked the question sort of says that you should get practical hands on help with this one.
Stick it in the bin and buy one that isn’t going to put your life in danger.

It doesnt look like a double pole model either if not then you really shouldn't fit it that way.
That seems a good video. But at 31m38s (about) he explains the relevance of the Earth connection in a fault scenario. He states the current will flow through the earth wire to the vehicle chassis and down to the ground. He seems to have forgotten there are 4 huge rubber insulators that would prevent that current. The current would flow through the cable to the mains hook up point.
