Constant 1.8v to rear fog light

Just been out to the van and noticed that the rear fog was on and very dimly lit.

Checked the connection and I am getting 1.8v constantly, even with the van locked and everything switched off.

I have put my original headlight switch back in and the voltage stays the same.

There are no other lights on, or have bleed through from any other wiring.

I have also checked for fault codes and again is showing nothing up.

Any ideas before I take a match and a can of petrol to it?

If you lock up the van and walk away, and return 1/2 hour later and don’t touch the van or unlock it, is the lamp still lit?

Didn’t leave it that long.

Will do some more tests next weekend, I’ve just unpinned the plug and disabled the bulb check on it for the moment.

Not on this one. I’ve just changed the rear lights to full LED, so it may have been going on for some time, just never noticed.
Ahh, have you changed the coding for rear LEDs? You’re probably getting the legacy bulb failure circuit.

They are the transporter HQ ones so should be plug and play. Not getting any errors when they are installed.

Even with both lamp units unplugged it was still doing it?

Guessing no harm in trying to code them to LED

So I have today coded the rear foglight to be LED, turned off pulse width modulation to the fog lights and I still have the 1.8v on the feed wire to the rear foglight. 🤦🏻
