Welcome to forum Henry.
We have a Rock 'n' Roll bed in our van (which isn't as comfy as a RIB bed to start with) and we're perfectly comfortable using one of these SIMs...

It's isn't exactly compact when packed-down and it only just fits on the bed when inflated, but for me (as a slide-sleeper) and for Mrs Bav (as a front-sleeper), it transformed our sleep comfort.
Recommended if comfort is your number one priority.

Slumberlite Pro Double
The Slumberlite Pro has just a little more comfort. The die-cut memory foam when fully inflated is a 10cm thickness. Fully self-inflating, optimized for insulation, easy operation valve and compression straps and carry bag for storage.

It's very comfortable, firmness can be adjusted and it packs away reasonably small. We also use a USB inflator to help it inflate a bit quicker.
