Clutch or driveshaft?

I’ve up on some old posts now and want to ask for a bit of clarity.

My 2016/78k-mile 2.0 TDI 6 speed (140) has a slight judder under load pulling through about 2,000 RPM. It’s consistent through 3/4/5 gears. Less noticeable in 1st and 2nd as they build revs more quickly and in 6th because it’s bordering on breaching the speed limit.

It’s been noticeable, but liveable, since I’ve owned the van - a shade under three years now.

I know the van is mapped because I bought from a performance tuner and he told me it had been done.
I’ve read that the driveshaft could cause an issue that feels like this, but if it was, would I expect some physical damage to the boot that let the grease escape, or is it down to the splines wearing?
If the former, I would expect that to be picked up on an MOT.

My gut feeling is clutch, especially as I expect it’s on around 400 Nm of torque give or take.
What’s the best way to check if the shaft is at fault? Should it have play?
