Intermittent Clutch slip after extended motorway runs

So I've read through the forum and seen this has been an issue for ages with some going at crazy low mileages.
Mine has randomly started to slip 4/5th under no realistic load - and then be absolutely fine for ages.

This weekend I was towing a jeep at about 1500kg on a 50 mile trip and towards the end I started to get it right at the last point.
On the way home I had a mate drag it most of the way and all the big hills, then I took over - at which point I attempted to make it slip, and it would not.

So I can see this is a recurring feature on these 150bhp 6 speeds.

Whats the current thoughts on the best clutch replacement, it drives perfectly 99.9% of the time so I can get it anywhere.
Is there a decent independent in Kent I can get this too and what's the best kit to buy now?

A bit further away but Bognor Motors will do it right.

Sorry no solution but just a question (sorry to jump on thread).
Is this due to the (pants?) OEM Clutch or DMF and is an aftermarket clutch or upgrade seen as the perceived wisdom for a fix.

Just ask as I have 150 bhp 6 spd. ( I’ve had no issues … there you go that’s the kiss of death) but wondered for future just incase.

Thanks in advance.
