Spent Christmas day afternoon at the emergency vets - Daisy ate 7 mince pies, very serious as raisins are highly toxic to dogs.
They gave her a puke-jab and kept her in for kidney monitoring, back home boxing day. That'll be £600 please, merry christmas

We know someone whose dog died from eating just one mince pie. Our dog quaffed a box of Ferrera Roche chocs last Christmas and to be on the safe side we took her to the vets. They said the chocolate itself wasn't that much of a risk (too low in real chocolate) but the fact that she'd eaten the wrappers and foil meant that she had to have the puke-jab. Thankfully we didn't have to pay your sort of money (£125) but it still worked out a bloody expensive box of chocs.
