Chewgum goo in front door card pocket?

I foolishly left a couple of chewing gum peices loose in the higher of the two pockets in the front door card (drivers side) and now have a load of sticky gummy goo in the pocket and I think it's made its way into the gap on the driver's side of the pocket.

Would I need to remove the whole door card to clean it out thoroughly? The crack/gap between the pocket and panel seems to be pretty tight and tricky to get into to clean.

How irritating! Perhaps try some of the Zep Sticky Stuff remover (you can get it at Toolstation or on Amazon)

WD40 or banana oil is supposed to me good for gum?

sprayed on a cloth, then used to remove the goo?

Sorry, I should have said that the goo is quite liquified, and is easy to remove with some white spirit, where I can get to it. The issue is with the stuff that has run down the thin (credit card) sized crack the where the base of the pocket joins the external panel.

@KenA I had the same problem with a forgotten packet of soft mints white sprit on a rag and a knife got it out and what the eye cant see don't matter as they say
