Anyone got them, how do they look on any grey T6’, never seen this done but I’m sure some of you will be working on highways..surely ?? Pictures please

Looking at options for high viz graphics on the rear tailgate when working on the road sites

As far as I'm aware bud, and I'm no chapter 8 expert (but I do run transits all with chapter 8 signage) there are only 2 options anyway. Full or half depending on if you want to use the rear window for vision if you have one. Beacons obviously you have loads of choice but basically everything you put on needs to be to chapter 8 regs.
If you Google it there's loads of photos. Basically as far as I'm aware a bit of reflective strip off Ebay here and there won't be to regs. Sorry if I'm barking up the wrong tree here pal. This is the website we use...

Thanks mate that’s helpful. I’ve just never seen a single transporter with chapter 8 chevrons and wondering how it would look. No rear window in tailgate so would be going all the way up. Think ill just have to go for it and wish for the best.

I don’t think you have to fully cover the rear door with stripes EF574C1C-23B2-4E1B-9A69-3E021A9811F8.jpeg even if you don’t have a window in it.

The AA used a fleet of T6 vans.

They will have the C8 markings.

Try googling images for that?

I saw an orange T6 camper in the local Asda petrol station yesterday with the tailgate completely covered with reflective chevrons, obviously an ex RAC van.

You don't have to but that Sky van isn't to C8 regs anyway. Sky won't be working on a highway I don't think.
I seem to remember 65% needs coverage and the chevrons need to be of a certain size, angle and colour. Beacons need to operate at a minimum flash rate or in old money a minimum RPM. Don't forget if the majority of work is conducted with the rear open then provision must be made on the back of the doors or door returns.

Jeez, do you need to be wearing a certain shade of underpants too?
How did we ever manage before Elf & Safety was invented?

Amazing responses guys, and pics posted really helpful. Thanks. will go for the chevrons halfway up the tailgate I reckon.

Go for magnetic
They are more expensive but you can remove when not in use ,better in the long run

Don't...they scratch like hell. Unless the van is immaculate and the back of the magnet is immaculate every time you put them on it causes really deep paint damage. They also blow off past 70mph.

I always keep a lot of polish on the van and keep the back of the sign clean
But like anything it’s about looking after the van .
I would not do it any other way
Great when going out as you don’t look like a work van
The other wat is to protect the van paint with helicopter tape first then put the signs on .
Again more money but worth it
