Ceramic wash

Hi guys as its a nice evening in sunny Bognor Regis I decided give the van a clean with Gtechniq W3 ceramic wash . Having read the instructions on the bottle it should not be done in direct sunlight ( I was in the shadows of the house ) and the panels must be cool so also ok . I didn't realise the stuff was so dangerous until I read the safety instructions !!

Do not not drink
Do not apply to sensitive parts
Do not feed to fish
Do not pour into the eyes ,,,
Do not clean tv screen with it
Not suitable as a mascara or face cream

Etc etc etc

Pro s no less dangerous, but much more expensive than washing up liquid

Years ago, I bought a Black & Decker hot air gun / paint stripper and the box had a sticker on it saying something like 'WARNING VERY HOT WHEN SWITCHED ON - DO NOT USE AS A HAIRDRYER' (which would have taken a special kind of stupid but somebody, somewhere probably has!).

In Switzerland you are only allowed to wash your car at dedicated washing stations to avoid chemicals getting into the natural water system.

I use this product quite a bit.
The trick is, one panel at a time.
I apply it neat to a dry wash mitt, then wipe on rinse of a panel at a time, especially this time if year.

In winter, I can do the whole of one side at a time before I rinse off.
The rinse off stage must be very thorough. It is a fantastic product if done correctly.

Thanks Dan it was my first use of the product Thanks for the advice I was thinking along the same lines eg get the roof done first then each panel afterwards. Same technique as using clay bar
