Hi guys, riddle me this...

if I plug in the block that was loose but in it blows a fuse and takes out rear side lights and internal lights but I get the central locking fully working.
If I take it out I get lights but central locking issues. - don’t work when in van by switch (closes then opens straight away) when I lock up with fob it locks all but barn door? Barn door then needs locking with key.

Have you been adding screws to the rear or roof of the van somewhere? Maybe a screw hit a wire?

Checking that out now. Not sure. It came back from the pop top conversion working and has suddenly stopped. So not sure if vibrations loosened something/ shaken something. (Clutching at straws)

does anybody have the details of these connectors are behind the glove box?

Turns out there is a short somewhere.

The auto-electrician can either go at it and strip van to find or we have a work around. Problem being the bcm in the middle doesn’t aid fault finding.

I’ll need to turn on and off interior lights as required. But will have full central locking and lights once again

@£60 an hour I’m happy enough with work around. Rather spend time enjoying than in the garage.

So the work around didn't really work and had to take to a VW specialist in Bath (VASS absolutely brilliant). Fault eventually found... in fitting the roof the converter screwed through a loom in the roof. Not an easy or cheap find. Converter has agreed to cough up the costs.

Van back to its best.

We have heard this many times now, who are all these converters who make these basic mistakes?

they have been good as gold (so far) to sort the issue. Not denying and happy to pay up (pending). I don't think it would be fair to say at the moment. Happy to write up an honest review on the guys once this is all sorted.

Electric issues can be a nightmare to get sorted so I'm glad you managed to get it fixed and someone else rightly footing the bill is the icing on the cake. Fair plays. :)
