Caravelle type floor rails

Hi all

Looking at various ideas for conversion to kombi van I'll be purchasing soon. One of which is the caravelle type rails fitted into the van so can have moving chairs and a table. Does anyone know if the rail system is a high maintenance thing, easy to clean the running gear etc? I will be using the van to frequent our static caravan which is next to the sea so thinking of grandkids probably in/out with sandy, wet feet, or should I just tow a trailer behind to sit them all in

Our van is our “family car” with 2 x dogs and 2 x sprogs! We have a large, cheap, rubber-backed doormat in the back to stop the crud going into the rails. Works a treat
