I’ve given up on trying to get the kids to stop chucking crumbs everywhere - but I’ve banned all pastry products (unless I’m alone with a Cornish pasty!!).

Does anyone have a mini Hoover in their vans to do a quick once around and keep on top of the mess?

I’ve got one of these. It’s great.
You can use it as a hoover for crumbs or to inflate or deflate air mattress’s. It’s small so easy to store and rechargeable.
It’s also great to hoover up midgies that get in your van.
Just switch off all lights bar one and the midgies will fly around that light making hoovering them up easy.

They’re 4 & 5 and have a mini dustpan but as you can imagine it’s often a valiant effort with questionable results

They do an ok job and use same batteries as my strimmer so easy enough to always have charged. Also have given up with the kids.... I find a hard brush quite useful as well. They were worx Hoover is good for car seats and down sides of seats etc....

Maybe give them easter eggs to eat instead

If you'd seen the mess and nick or my pair after peeling hard boiled eggs you'd be sticking to the pastry lol.

I remember sitting next to an older couple on a red eye flight one morning... Preceded to present a zipper sandwich bag with a peeled boiled egg each. Awful! On a plane

Brought up in the ‘60s, 3 meals a day (some of which were self caught) and one in five families had a car, so fuk’in hungry there were no crumbs.

Done that when I’ve had really dirty hands, not advisable, gut ache like you can’t imagine.

I use a dewalt blower...ok, not a vacuum but the end result is that the mess ends up outside the van.
