Ok. Having purchaced rear led clusters from Van-x, it looks like i neef to knock up an adapter cable.

The cable needs to convert from the oval type plug (led) to the rectangular (standard).

Can anyone identify the plugs and where i can get them from.

Thanks. Jay

I would get on to Van -x first
their info "These lights are plug and play no welding, drilling or modifications are required."
have you gone for the dynamic lights?

Don't know the part number but I got mine from VW, it's a blank plug/socket and you take the pins from the original and put in the new one, you don't need to cut or solder any cables, at least I never.

Just found photos of the back of the VW led and the plug needed, if you look closely you can see the part number.

I have sent van x an email. Just got to wait for them to get back to me. A bit annoyed because i did specificly ask weather they would fit.

Can fit them by cutting the wires but dont want to ruin the old lights.

Cheers for the pic. Suppose i should have checked the plug for the part no.

Just looked at Van X website and it says they come with plug sockets, not in the bottom of the box are they?

LED fittings use a different plug from all the standard lights, I have some of the required plugs that I have taken of vans when swapping lights you are welcome to a couple for the price of postage

Like the look of the lights. Wanted to go for smoked bit couldnt stretch to the OEM ones.

There is a switch on the back so you can turn off the dynamic effect.

That looks like a different plug again, it definitely says on the website easy to fit using the supplied sockets perhaps they just missed them out.

I think they are referring to upgrading standard rear light units in which case it would be a straight swap, that looks like the standard plug to me which is one row of 5/6 connectors as opposed to 2 rows of three on the factory LED lights

So the plug pictured in @Jay picture is for a standard tailgate light. Jay, do you have LED's fitted to your bus?

Will post picks when wiring sorted. Wont be selling oem straight away. They might end up on my work van.
