Can the double bench from a 2+1 fit in the 3rd row?

This looks great @WomanwithVan! Any chance you could show another photo of the bed? Im interested in what happens to the rear seats in the bed configuration. I have a SWB so space is tight.

Eventhough @JPT6 already posted the links, here is my version again.
I have to say my leg solution could be much much nicer and is evidence of my lack of diy skills, but it works and is nice and sturdy.

I got a short wheel base too and I have to say compared to all other solutions out there I am really surprised how much this opens up the living space in the van. And the bench is pretty comfy to sit on. And for me as a small person I can even use it to nap in its folded up state.

A double bench from the mid row from a Lhd vehicle will easily fit (sitting against left hand side) as I’ve got one for my uk car in our place in italy as needed extra seats and the uk ones were well in the uk

A rhd twin bench will also fit (in a lwb) sitting against the right hand side.

@archersam sorry to jump on an old thread, but I think you’ve done exactly what I’m looking to do here… does a lhd two seat bench fit in the existing third row bracket holes of a rhd shuttle? The shuttle has 6 brackets in the rear row…

As far as I know the 3rd row has 8 mounting points. Which are spaced equally apart. So you should be fine.

My third row has 6 brackets. The middle single can fit either in the side (using right and middle brackets) or in the middle (using middle and left). Total width is 85cm from outside edge of the outside brackets.

Sorry but what was the question exactly? I’ve done the rhd conversion with a rhd bench. And I know that a lhd second row double bench fits into the third row of a lhd I’m not sure but I don’t think you can mix and match between lhd and rhd vans. So a lhd bench won’t fit a rhd. And vice versa.

I currently have a shuttle with three single seats in the 2nd row. I’ve got rid of third row.

I’m wondering if I could buy a 2 seat kombi/ shuttle bench for the third row to fit the existing brackets. As I’ve only got six brackets there I know I can’t move 2 of my current seats back, but don’t like how the three seat bench blocks access to the rear. I don’t want to mess around adding new brackets.

The uk RHD bench sits behind driver so seatbelt position wouldn’t work with the brackets which are passenger left hand side… hence why I’m thinking a LHD bench where they would.
