Can T6.1 under seat fuse box use be used for 800w victron inverter?

I think I have found a simple but effective way of doing this now that will give me what I’m after and without having to purchase any additional components also avoiding the smart alternator nonsense.

The victron inverter has a remote trigger contact block that has a jumper in from the factory, if I pull that out when it’s running the inverter switches off.

This means I can give the inverter a permanent supply and switch the remote to trigger it off and on.

To do this I’ll use a 12v dc handy relay I have kicking about and take a ignition switched supply from the fuse box on the drivers side.

Sounds good in theory anyway…

Will there still be a parasitic drain from the inverter even when it’s switched off ?

Did some quick measurements today and got this

Remote in and inverter on (standby current draw) 0.607a

Remote out and inverter on 0.003a

Pretty decent so happy to move forward with this, need to source a nice inline breaker or fuse now if anyone has any recommendations?

All wired up now apart from inverter permanently fitted so just tested loose.

Works a treat, inverter switches off and on with ignition switch.

I put a crimp on the battery leads that are under the seat and used that to feed a 50a breaker (smallest I could get from 12v planet) then installed a 10mm tri rated cable to feed the inverter.

Used a Rivnut into existing factory body hole for ground connection.

Looks good and especially like the Paxton relay for the ignition switch.
