Campsite recommendations France

Hi - planning a couple of weeks trip to France - ideally on a lake or river for paddle board or swimming - prefer the quieter side of life ! anyone have any recommendations please?

Just returned from a couple weeks here OFFICIAL WEBSITE Esterel Caravaning 5* camping in south of France had a fantastic time.

Lacanau or Hourtin would be my immediate recommendations. We've stayed in Camping La Côte d'Argent in Hourtin Plage but by the sounds of it this will be more than you require, but there are plenty of other sites on offer.
