Hi guys,
I am in the process of converting a SWB T6.
Has anyone adopted a "hybrid" setup with their furniture, where they have the usual CRX50 / SMEV 9222 fridge and hob / sink front section, but then dropped the furniture to "locker" height a la California beach?
The idea being that when using a standard 3/4 width Rib, the lockers could be topped with cushions so that they match the cushion height of the Rib when in bed mode, whilst still retaining a decent sized cooker and fridge at the front of the van.
A little bit like the Uberbus Beach conversion but with a cooker and fridge at the front: Beach - VW Camper Conversions and Custom Vans - UBERBUS - Dorset
It doesn't seem to be done anywhere, which makes me thing there's probably a good reason not to.
Thoughts?
