Cabin filter which way round

My cabin filter has no air flow direction markings. I think it flows from near side towards the centre since the dirtiest side was the near side. Problem is a u-tube I’ve seen shows the arrows pointing towards near side. Can anyone confirm correct way please?

Correct the intake is closer to the near side. If you’ve got the old filter look closely at the weave and you should be able to determine the flow direction . Hope this helps
