Broken down in lake Garda

Search the forum and you can read about my historical Vito woes!

Adblue filling on the 6.1 isn't difficult. No need for human sacrifices or a tarot reading before hand. Theees no mystery - simply read the fairly straightforward instructions in the handbook and youre dandy.
Tbf I didn’t know Vito forums existed 🤣

Owned several over a 20 year period and apart from an ECU going tits up, had no bother at all.

PS. Go on then, what’s the procedure for filling adblue? I’m too lazy to read manuals. I once read that drinking too much was bad for you. So I thought that’s it then, no more reading.

I shall add to the list of never had a problem with our T6. However an amusing little anecdote. Crossing on the Gourock Dunoon ferry couple of years back and as we were disembarking, one of the crew asks me whether I happen to have any adblue on our van. Turned out that Ally McCoist ( Football pundit) had ignored all the low adblue warnings on his Audi and now couldn't start his engine. Ended up with the push of shame off the ferry..

I'm on my 4th t6.1 with no adblue issues. I always wait until there's around 2000 miles range and just add 10 litres.

Italy and the UK are hand in hand when it comes to poor productivity, have a look at the statistics.
The difference is IMO they accept it and the Brit’s still think we lead the world.

My Transporter is the only diesel we've owned that hasn't had an adblue fault.

Hopefully not famous last words.

As you see, most owners report a positive experience. Those with problems have the most to talk about, so that's mainly what we hear.

Hope it’s my last negative post 😂 to be fair can’t fault vw assist so far just a language barrier at times
And on the plus side we have wheels to run round in

The difference is that in the UK there are people who derive a perverse pleasure from denigrating and sneering at their own country and countrymen.
I’m not so sure. According to YouGov Italians are almost as opinionated as we are about the negative stuff in their country…
Unproductive people are also miserable I guess.
Denmark looks like a positive place to be though!

Clearly, those figures don't support the view that '...Brits still think we lead the world', which was the point I was responding to re Brits denigrating fellow Brits.

As for the Brits' and Italians' self views being on a par, it'll be interesting to revisit the numbers should the UK be forced to go to the IMF for another bailout.

I wouldn't take a poll like that as gospel. There are too many ifs/buts/and 'rather not say'.
Looking at Denmark, it seems 11% decided not to tell the pollster what they thought. 13% for USA, 12% for UK.

That can mean a lot of things. From ppl in UK thinking it is too jingoistic to say that we UK are 'average' or 'good', or it could be worse than we think - people not wanting to say they really think UK is crap.

I luckily managed to get a bit of travelling in EU this year and to be honest, each country isn't as great as we in the UK tend to think they are - or at least I would say we are on a par with most of them - apart from Switzerland. Liked that one. Fing expensive for the likes of us peasants though. (Thought I got the exchange rate wrong. I hadn't.)
I would say that all have their issues but probably Switzerland and Denmark (I didn't go to Denmark so can't say really) don't have quite as many.
The rest of them - the natives are quite aware that of those issues - like we are, here in UK.
Except we think no one else has those issues.
Yes - train strikes - they happen in other countries.
Litter flying around as trash collectors on strike - yes, they can tick that box too.
Some dodgy road surfaces - oh yes.
Crappy politicians - yes the world over - isn't that a requirement to become a politician? Or does it happen the other way round?

What is it exactly we are worse at - or better at - than EVERY other country? Think we are pretty much the same to be honest. Obviously some countries do some things better than us, but some countries do things worse than us also.

An extra edit as this is quite important to the conversation......
Some of the people I spoke to thought the UK was exemplary. On a par with, possibly, what we think of Denmark or Switzerland. They would tell me this while I was grinning like an idiot and then they would gripe about their own area.
When I said we had similar problems they were usually quite shocked. This was not in every country or representative of any country - just a snapshot.

Taking a perverse pleasure in denigrating ourselves apparently…
You can't resist twisting my words, can you? Not sure why I expected any different from you.

Ok, we'll leave it there then.

Made it back to the uk after flying back picking van up then travelling via Switzerland and France!
