Nope, no misread. Charged us for an awning then told us to remove it. I think he was being harsh, but i got the arse with him when he said. I was close to being kicked off.

Hope you got/get refunded the additional payment for the awning pitch. They can’t charge you for something they won’t let you have. Get the credit card company involved if you paid on that and have no joy with the site owner.
The grass is often the fire break hence no living area can be pitched on it (this annoys me as it’s fine for someone to park their car on it!). I got these issues a lot with C&CC sites as their pitches aren’t that wide and the awning plus the van is +6m (or ours was). You can park the van side on (if they allow that, C&CC do) so use more of the length of the pitch. Alternatively, you can pitch the awning closer to the van using straps over instead of the kador rail.

I got bored the other day and read the C&MH terms and conditions and it states awnings over 2.5mts wide if they don't fit on the pitch guests may not erect their awning say that pitches are normally big enough for us

Their pitch are normally wider so I haven’t had an issue on C&MH sites. The main problem is pitches are often shaped for caravans and awnings, so long and thin
But anyway, this shouldn’t put people off buying the awning as they can normally by used one way or another on any pitch!

I bought this last week. Tried to set up at first camp site yesterday, Long story short, it caused a massive argument with me and the mrs. I've had to list it again, as it went off topic on my last thread. To save my relationship, it's got to go! Comes with pump, all pegs etc. Ground sheet and...
