Bottle Jack for T32?

Good morning from wet Cornwall - where did the summer go!

Driving up to Norfolk in a few weeks and no Jack supplied with ex AA van - I guess they had the heavy duty kit.

Read some threads and looking at a Draper 4T bottle Jack - wondering if anyone's had experience with one of these and if they are suitable for a wheel change if needed and more importantly if they fit under jacking point with flat tyre!

Each van will be different, depends on load, suspension, wheels and tyres. It takes some fine tuning and experimenting so that you’re not doing the testing when you need it for real.
Have a Search with bottle jack.
You’ll need:
A plywood or similar chock to drive the flat tyre on to.
Multiple spacers, I use aluminium plates.
A larger plate / sheet (I use steel) to prevent the jack sinking in soft ground.
Remember to calculate for the tyre height being lower when deflated.
If you have lowered suspension, side bars etc you may be stuffed without a second jack or support to change over during the lift.

Screwfix sell a couple of versions, think I’ve got the 3 ton, but as above, every van is different to what will work, it’s a case of getting tape measure out under the van, reading the open and closed specs on the jacks, allow for the flat tyre, use a solid base plate for a jack and maybe something between bottle jack and the jacking point, I’ve got a puck type disc to stop slipping, I still carry the factory jack in van for a back up jack, but after watching a video of one breaking under a van, I brought the bottle jack!
If your a campervan then levelling ramps could help raise things up

I use a large scissor jack that I had for a MK7 transit, kept in a knocked up carboard box with the wheel wrench and a pair of gloves
