BM woe

so we didn't have FWD (which I can't stand)!
Funny how people prefer one or the other. I was brought up on FWD though I have owned a RWD in the guise of an Escort Harrier. I did enjoy driving it but always liked FWD which I found I could really throw around, I suppose it was because I never learnt to drive a RWD like you could

I was a late RWD adopter and was also FWD raised but once I got a pokey RWD I was smitten. Except in snow. Or ice. Or anything but tarmac...!

The 218d is FWD and fairly nippy but the front wheels are all over the place trying to manage the torque.

With fwd it's all about suspension design. All round double wishbone suspension from Honda's old days ftw.

With xenon the actual light output deteriorates after 30 hours of use. Then it's quite consistent for a few hundred hours then deteriorates further. Led won't do this. However with both lights they both use projectors and projector design is key to light output.

I glad I'm not the only one who fell that way about Audi. Just a bit numb, boring but very brilliant.
Bmws generally are more alive from the ones I have driven.

Well the BM is fixed and the 2 series MPV thing has gone back (filthy) - typically we could do with it tomorrow as we're ferrying a load of kids around!
Plus the Subaru has been borrowed for a few days - just as the temperature has dipped to almost zero (it has Winter type tyres!).
But it was great fun driving the BM home - it's easy to forget how flipping rapid it is! Needs new brake pads and tyres soon but that's to be expected. I am definitely a fast, petrol hatch man and definitely NOT a diesel MPV one - it wasn't even that great on fuel (148bhp 218d - 36mg average).
