Bluetti Charge 2 Launched

I just did the upgrade for £99. Not even fitted the Charger one yet from Bkack Friday. 😂

I think the doubling down of charging speed is worth that alone tbh, plus the solar and alternator concurrent connection will benefit me later on.

With respect to the reverse trickle charge, does that mean the starter battery will get charged from both the solar and the BLUETTI where needed too?
If its anything like the Ecoflow...theres a feature on the Ecoflow alternator charger that can send power from the Ecoflow back to the van battery.

It appears that there are more connections on this one vs the Charger 1. One of those options is to connect your Bluetti, or other brand battery, with the option to both charge the Bluetti from Starter battery or vice versa. It appears that this is done via the App but might actually be able to customise to do either charging as required.

Looks like a great bit of kit, judging by the few YouTube vids I have watched.

I got it in the offer.got a email to say March delivery. received it in 2 days. Now in my opinion I wouldn't buy it yet half the parts/ cables you need to work are not on the market. I've spent the best part of a week trying to configure it to get anywhere near what they promise/ advertise. The d+ cable for smart alternators dont exist yet so if you have a smart alternator you cant use it to full potential. I cant get over 300w from alternator and solar combined. On my charger one I got well over 500.there is no info from all the vids and the instructions in the box telling you all the settings you have to change its made out to be plug and play but its far from it well it is for me anyway. Im going back to charger one

I'm just converting my van to a camper, and was fully onboard with getting a lithium seat base battery and a full Victron setup including an invertor as I'm going gasless. Then I see videos on the Bluetti kit including the HUB D1 and now the Charger 2. This has left me in a bit of spin as to which way to go. This thread is obviously pro Bluetti, are you folks running just Power Stations, or using the kit to supplement existing leisure battery setups?

Anyone with a traditional camper layout (RIB bed)? What Power station and where do you keep it?

I use a bluetti ac240 200 watt solar and the charger 1 -2 does me a weekend camping of grid that powers my tv fridge heater ext i use gas for cooking and kettle etc if money is not an issue there is bigger and better bluetti stuff now that can run a full electric van if that's what your after
If I could id get the elite 200 plus a expansion battery with solar and charger 2 it would keep you off grid for a good while

I bought an Anker C1000 gen 2 recently and keep it under the rib. 50mm web strap with brackets screwed into the floor keeps it from moving about. Topped up by a Bluetti charger 1 connected to my lithium leisure battery but at a lower volts output as don't want to push the capabilities of my sterling b2b charger. Bought the Anker to give some versatility for use outside in the awning or within the camper.

@Clubdecker That looks pretty awesome. I have quite a few Anker products and they have all met and exceeded expectations. I did have a small power bank that was recalled, and they took care of everything and sent me a replacement 👍

Hello mate, are you think of selling the charger 2?

Now showing in app but not on web page account. Strange
Same, just gone back in and showing. Their web page and app previously haven't been well linked, was almost 2 different accounts, I know they were looking to merge them

Did it turn up step? I missed the offer for £99 but had a whinge to customer service who then sent me a link to buy one for £199 - the unit arrived within 3 or so days.

Still waiting, the money has come out the bank. I need to chase it up

Posted as news not a recommendation but Bluetti look like they are updating their alternator charger system:

Things that catch my eye are:

  • Solar input as well as alternator
  • Trickle reverse charge
  • High wattage DC option to charge non Bluetti systems
  • £99 upgrade from Charger 1
Personally I'd still prefer a fitted system but it's interesting to see the options around power packs evolve, more options are always good.

In particular the high current DC output addresses one of my concerns that fitting these type of systems locks you into one brand.
Has anyone had the charger 2 delivered yet in the UK as I ordered mine for £99 months ago and they are saying they have stock of the cabled one but not the cheap one seems a little strange as it should be here by now, I have had a lot of dramas with them in the past trying to get faulty items replaced and having to go the their warehouse myself to pick up replacements so my love of this product is dropping
