I mean I’ve got an ecoflow river as my only one at the moment I was looking at a Bluetti to run a camping fridge (alpicool CF55 probably), whilst I wait for my insurance to sort itself out so I can do a proper lithium electric install, but I’m not doing cabinets, just an ovano and kombi type van. Because I’ve got 200watt of fold up solar panel that will be ok for some charging of an elite 300 but i wanted to be able to charge on the move, so an apex and stops at EV charging points seemed like in good option, but I didn’t realise how huge they were. But where I’ve got long cables for the solar panels I could put a charger 2 in the passenger footwell and then run attach the long solar panel cable to the bluetti in the back on the ovano slide drawer for charging on the move.
Main use is at festivals and I used the solar panels and cable to charge the AGM leisure battery on my old van because the roof mounted solar panel died….. I ran the cable up through a gap at the boot door which I liked slightly open with a little device. So I could do that still with a Bluetti in the back/boot. But we also want to start doing some Europe trips and touring.
When I get a leisure electric install I was going to get lithium, diesel heater, solar MPPT under the seats and then was going to see about a mains hook up point and a solar panel hookup point install under the bonnet hood, at the back using the little hidden hind for the rear panel one of the companies do, then the elite would be a back up and for AC things like an induction hob for heating up a bit of food etc. The little ecoflow river then could live somewhere else for phone charging etc….. so I’d have a really nice modular set up where I could change what the solar panels and fridge were hooked up to.
