I need to check/change the fuse for the 12v plug in. mine isn't working but I cannot find which fuse it is. the 12v plug is in the (ash tray) pull out 2018 T6

thanks, I guessed this had been discussed before, how do you find previous threads like this. I have now joined VIP so that I can access things like this.

hi all, T6 2018 model. after a busy period I have finally got to checking the fuses for the problem I put up ages ago, the cig lighter/power point. I tried the suggested fuse with no real confidence as it looked slightly different to picture on here. in the end I checked every fuse (I think) behind the bottle holder, then under the bonnet. couldn't see any under the seat. I cannot find any blown fuse. also not sure if the front heated screen is working so is this connected with the power point. anybody near Chichester Portsmouth area that could look, help. trying to avoid dealers at the moment because of cost. happy to pay fair price if I need to. I want to do extra power point and LED lights in the back soon so don't know if the same fuses would be used when found. thanks in advance.

There have been quite a few cases where people have pulled a fuse out and it’s gone back into the wrong slot.
Not saying that the case but it’s worth checking the actual positions and not assuming what is fitted is correct.
A photo of the fuses before starting work and another after is always a good idea no matter how experienced.

Great advice! I just whip out my phone and take a pic before I dismantle anything, not just electrics

I did this after I removed a fuse and looked dazed at where to put it back, got there eventually. think there is a fuse in a blank but its so awkward to see into the fuse holder to spot the connection. no closer to sorting this out though. thanks for the input anyway
