Blind spot vs alternative mirrors?

Hi all,

I'm still thinking about adding blind spot to my T6. However... I don't like the look of the default indicator in mirror cover. I like the indicator attached behind the mirror itself, so wondering if this would be possible as mod? I had initally two ideas:
1. custom universal led and mirror glass update. Doable but will require a lot of fun with mirror glass and it's inside holder itself
2. replace vw mirror with other...? is there even possibility to do this? I think other VAG could have similar mount but this will be definitely not plug&play.

Any recommendations, thoughts?

What is it you don't like about the warning light in the mirror cover? Both my Tiguan and 5 series have the warning lights there and find them perfectly fine.

This mod sounds like some alternative, but a lot of VW owners actually switch from mirror imbeded BS indicator to the lamp on the side of the mirror cover.

Installation of some source of light behind the mirror glass or around it might be consider, but I would be worried that this might impair the view in the mirror, especially at night.

The side indicator behind the mirror certainly didn’t impart my rear vision why I had it fitted.

Easy enough mod to do although I don’t have this mod anymore.

I'm just not sure this is perfect place for this. When you look on the mirror you have to take extra step which is a bit distracting. I know you can get used to this but this place is not on the line eye-mirror glass. I'm thinking to improve this, but not yet convinced to all methods.
