Bit One HD - Std Head Unit

Hi Ice team - I want to connect a standard T6 head unit to a bit one virtuoso - and unsure whether to use an adapter to get a fixed output - or whether to use the variable high level outputs. Leaning toward high level at the moment - but wanted to get some advice and/or pointers.

High level or use an adpater to use RCA/phono cables?

and...do you know if an adapter is available that will let me easily get either RCA or high level out of the unit - but preferably variable so I can use the original volume control?

appreciate any help - diving in with both feet here?

I have a decent amount of QED fire-resist home audio cable - is there any reason not to use it in the van?

cheers
