Hi lads still baffling my head with layouts for my T6 Conversion. Is it worth me driving up to camper show this weekend for ideas and to see potential Converters?
I know that good converters are booked up for about 6 months so not sure if any of them will be there as they have got to much work already?

Value your opinion Lads

Hi, If I were you I would definitely go because it is a great place to get ideas and see some of the different options on offer and to ask lots of questions. Bear in mind though that not every converter is there, but I would strongly recommend you don't miss looking at the Exploria conversion, it is located on a shared stand with Vango awnings.
You are right though about good converters being heavily booked, but do you want to go with a bad converter just to get it done quickly? I think Exploria have a 5 month wait but at least you can decide if it's worth waiting for! I went on Tuesday and found it very worthwhile.

Not going myself this year but have been several times before. Definitely worth a visit to see examples of various layouts from some of the largest converters to see what people are doing.

Hi went yesterday. Definitely worth a visit there are a few converters there and you will get quite a few ideas . First time for us really enjoyed it hope you do to  .

Visited yesterday (Weds) and in terms of the VW Transporter it was predominantly the 'big' bespoke converters Hillside, Danbury, Bilbo's etc. in attendance. There were others - Exploria, Jobl, Reimo

Probably worth a visit if you are looking for ideas, different options and how different converters do the 'same' job.

And millions of caravans and RVs too!

Did you get a look at their new Crafter conversion (they took one to the October show but were meant to be launching another at this one)??

I'm pretty sure I saw a Crafter camper conversion (if it wasn't a Crafter it was a Fiat equivalent) - I had a quick look inside, it was finished in a 'rustic' natural wood finish and resembled a cross between a Swedish sauna and a log cabin. It was different shall we say...I didn't dislike it but didn't love it either

Have to say I found it a tad disappointing compared to last year. This year everything that is not RV or caravan is stuck in hall 5. Whereas last year there were bits in 1 and 5.
Like mentioned above, just the bigger VW conversion houses (bilbo, hillside).

Thanks for sharing our vlog, we absolutely fell in love with Hillside Leisure’s new Hopton based on the new Crafter. We could be very tempted by one in the future. Need to have another look sometime

Had a visit Thursday. Most T6 converter stands were busy and not easy to have a good nose around. Worth a look at other van conversions for ideas.
Lowdams Hymer van conversions are worth a look for what can be achieved in a van, albeit slightly bigger.

I hadn't been since 2009 and found it much reduced in variety compared to that era.

I think the October Show is the bigger one out of the two but it’s still primarily geared towards Motorhomes and Caravans mainly.

We did film one of the Bilbo’s but it didn’t make the final video because we do hope to film them individually sometime soon.
