Hello all , i have Bilstein B14 suspension fitted all round on the bus, last week while under the van i noticed i had a snapped spring , so ordered 2 new b14 springs the red uprated ones , couple of days after fitting i jacked the van up to inspect everything was still ok and i noticed the top bush on 1 of my shocks has had it , (opposite side to snapped spring) dam if i had know this i would have fitted the comfort springs and then comfort shocks to replace the b14 standard, but i now have the standard b14 springs fitted will i need the matching shock or could i fit the comfort shocks with the standard b14 spring , also because its just a bush gone on the b14 shocks is it a hard job to replace the bushes on the suspension i could just replace the bushes instead of buying new shocks ? and how would i know if the shocks are still working as they should ? any advice welcome

hi thanks for your reply bud,, there closed on weekends unfortunately so pretty useless to me as i work during the week as do most ,, but i will give them a call on Monday and have a chat , but it would be good to hear from people on here if they have replaced bushes at home etc and if they have ran komfort shocks/springs with standards and vice vera 👍

The shocks on a B14 and Komfort are the same length this is the only important factor actually .

Bush failure is a common problem on early B14 dampers
