Yes, the 180° position is exactly what I’m after, can a tarp pole be attached in any way? I was wandering if a small clip on to the existing system might be available?Spreader pole and tarp only works in the 'normal' open 90 position. Not a bad idea as quick fix, I don’t want to risk scratching anything but I’ll have a look at potential mounting pointsA bungee round a rear wheel spoke and then hooked onto a locking mechanism piece?

That’s amazing, will be off to Screwfix tomorrow…
Yes, I started off trying to make a wooden one with a hole and dowel system but then after about 10mins realised that a metal dog bone thing would work well. It does need the rounded end to jam in to the door mechanism properlyI rarely open my Barn doors to 180 degrees, but looking at the spanner option, I might make up a couple of "spanners" from a piece of steel to put into my bag of extras.
When the spanner is placed inside the door panel, do you know what it presses against or is it mounted to the mechanism inside? Hope that makes sense.Yes, I started off trying to make a wooden one with a hole and dowel system but then after about 10mins realised that a metal dog bone thing would work well. Thank you, been a great help
