Barn door bumper colour coding

Hi All,

Has anyone got any experience with colour coding the rear bumper of a barn door model T6.1? I'm unsure of which route to go. I managed to source a really good condition candy white front bumper but cant for the life of me seem to find a candy white (or any other colour) rear. Plenty of tailgate ones for sale.

Has anyone gone down the route of painting the textured factory bumper? I know this will need flatting back first. Or am I better off buying an aftermarket one in primer and having that painted? I'm after an estimated cost so i can figure out the best route.

Ideally id have one in white to match the rest of the van but I will be wrapping the entire van in the next couple of months so could be a different colour.

If you have all the kit you’ll need it’s fairly easy to flat a textured bumper. I use an orbital sander to get it as smooth as possible, then spray it with a high build primer then flat that back with a fine grit, paint with standard primer, wet n dry it smooth, repeated until perfect. Then if your gonna wrap it, your done. If it’s paint your after, you can rattle can it and get a decent finish with decent prep and effort. If not it’d be cheap to get it painted at a shop.
