Hello guys

Now the van is in the throws of finality, I’m looking at Awnings.
I have two teenagers in tow and we’re planning a trip to the Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia and Lake district for a variety of adventure activities.

I’ve looked at the awning thread, lots of good ideas.
I had an Outwell airbeam tent before the van purchase and was suitably impressed.

Has anyone experience with the Vango
Vango VW Tolga

You can add a small internal pod, enough for one to sleep. Plan is for (smaller) daughter to sleep in roof section and son in the awning pod. Need to keep those smells out there:)

Don’t forget to put some pics in the Awnings gallery :thumbsup:

We’re going to be moving around every few days so need something that reflects these challenges.
Some very good friends of ours are going to loan us one of these, he highly rates the practicalit;

81BDDFE2-BA23-44C6-96E2-B6FC809008E2.jpegWe have the Vango Hexaway II it is very spacious but the ventilation is poor. when raining and cold it builds up condensation. The vents are the dark coloured windows and can’t be opened when raining.

We really like our OLPRO Cocoon. Inflatable, sleeps 5 (so loads of room for our 2 children to spread out) and has a large seating area. 30 minutes to set up or dismantle. Picture has an extension area added which is a bonus.

We've got a Kampa Touring Air, only had it up in the garden so far but its huge, henceforth to be known as the hanger - if weather gets really bad I might park the van in it :D Comes with the bedroom compartment already - 2 double bedrooms. I also picked up the vestibule door for it - so can enclose the porch if we need to at any point. Maiden voyage with Mrs G and two tiny terrors in a couple of weeks! Pitched in about 20 mins in the garden first time, I reckon I can get it up in 10-15 with some more practise. Putting it away was more of a challenge! Took a few attempts to get it small enough to go in the bag with the pump as well, got their in the end but no where near as neat or small as when it arrived - anyone have any tips?!
