Auto Glam Polar Blast Snow Foam.

I've used it. My van ended up looking like the pillsbury dough boy. Really good finish if your van is not too dirty to begin with. Saves a lot of elbow grease, but i have since learned if your van is really dirty to begin with get the pressure washer on it first to loosen the dirt.

Yep ..... +1 from me too. Not used AutoFinesse for direct comparison but Polar Blast is a relatively new formula and had a lot of great reviews as well as big company R&D behind it.

Does exactly what Foaming is meant to do as a pre-wash IMO. I can personally say, even using a 50% mix it doesn't lift your wax off either. I generally use at 25% with a proper foam lance attachment and jet wash. I find it has a significantly thicker consistency than others I've tried and does linger for a good while. It easily stays 'active' for the 10 mins AutoGlym recommend before rinse.

I know Foaming is not supposed to be a cleaner but I'm surprised how clean the van is after just one application and rinse before the actual wash. Great at 50% in the wheel arches every week. Still looks new in there :D

Says it's pH neutral on the carton.

As a Foaming pre-wash is not strictly a cleaner or the 'wash phase', it shouldn't be acid or alkaline. Cleaners that are that caustic are generally wheel cleaners anyway (I wouldn't put any of those on my wheels either). Detergents are roughly pH neutral. I only use detergents and in different concentrations for different parts of the van on an 'as required' only basis e.g. ... as I clean the wheels very regularly and the van doesn't get particularly heavy use, Autoglym Bodywork Shampoo at bodywork dilution cleans the wheels perfectly well, so I avoid the dangers of unnecessarily using caustic products with their associated side effects.

I tend to use a citrus cleaner first, then polar blast, autoglym hd shampoo, super resin, and then hd wax....i like the polar blast over any of my other snowfoam purchases.....and I've tried a few

@T6180 .... what's the plan with the Citrus cleaner ?? Are you using that to strip wax before re-waxing with "super resin, and then hd wax" or is it doing something else ??

Hi I use it to free up the dirt if it's filthy before snowfoam is used and if it's really bad it gets snowfoamed twice. Every time I was it it always gets super resin and the waxed and then autoglym detailer if my arms can handle it

it's all in the prep to me...the less dirt before I touch the paint with any cloths or polishing pads the better I also clay bar it every couple of months and start all over again building up the wax layers
