Oh also pertinent to the thread. So on the A flux site on the link from Sasquatch it says this:

So if the build says alarm and immobiliser etc etc... I have interpreted this as a cat1 (for my purposes only, consider this to be a very, very strong disclaimer!).

Yes!

As mentioned elsewhere, when I phoned Flux I gave the chap my VRM and he tapped it into the magic piano, and without even being prompted by me he said "I see it has a cat 1 alarm."

In most cases they know full well what the factory spec is, it's just some take the ptih doubtless in the hope of being able to charge more money to those not so clued up.
