Hi all,

So ideally I want air sus but its not clear from the pages I've looked at...

- Which is the best air sus system?
- Which is the best system that also support t32 4motions?

Any recommendations welcomed :)

Thanks in advance
P.s. I would want independant levelling per corner with at least 3 pre-sets and an auto levelling system whereby I state the required ride height and irrespective of additional or less weight it adjusts to maintain it...

There are others which maybe equally as good, but I guess the market leader is probably VB AIR Your suspension specialist » VB-Airsuspension
I think these are the only company that effectively has a sort of type approval from VW, called a LONO, Letter Of Non Objection, effectively a guarantee that fitting VB (to VB's spec) will not effect your VW warrantee, because of all the testing and document submissions VB have done over the years to VW's approval.
Years ago VB used to be a the VW factory fit Air suspension option, but there was only a small uptake due to cost, so it became an after market option. The other thing with VB is not just VW LONO, but also VB operate an approved Installer programme, so you can be sure the fitter will do it 100%(ish) correctly, and that the installer will have fitted many before. I have a simple VB system on our motorhome (fiat ducato/autotrail), and personally wouldn't fit anything else (it is a very low risk option), but it may not be the cheapest.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Just something to think about, if your van has not yet been built, and you may wish to fit VB Full Air, at sometime in the future, you ought to spec up the electrical interface on the VW options list; that it mentions in the VB brochure. There are members on this forum that have fitted Full Air, and seem to be happy with it. It does look really cool.

From what i have read, as @chriscroft says VB has the VW badge going for it and is a great system from what i can make out. There are a couple of good air systems available theses days like air-ride etc. I think there all up to scratch as long as there installed correctly. If i could do it i would but at 4k + its just to much for me + i like my balls were they are not swinging from the washing line when the wife spots the invoice  .
Looking forward to seeing it @pezzas

I've ping'd a mail to my local retailer for the system - It appears it might fit the bill...

Anyone with first hand experience I'd appreciate your thoughts as well :)

In addition if there is any pointers on price and whether it can be fitted by a capable mechanic, rather then a specific VB registered fitter?

Thanks for the advice so far guys

I was quoted £3900 at the show 2 weeks ago.

Sorry i dont no them really @pezzas there just the nearest to me as well. They seem like a good company, been going a wile and you dont last long these days if your poor, especially in Brum

Quote for full system came back this morning as £4765 for all the bells and whistles and fitted (2 x days)...

Is there a breakdown for the £3900 quote you received at all @Loz as I currently assume that is fitted, incl. VAT and full spec?

Cheers all:D

It was the price verbally given to me on the stand for the system for the cali but installation from a fitter would have been extra, I was just asking the salesman not really committing to a quote.

Ahh, OK no worries - Still got a couple of open questions with the company anyway to understand the flexibility and feature set VB offers, so see what they come back with I guess :)

They did say there was a couple of options like a self levelling option. plus you can have an air tank(reservoir) that speeds up the whole operation.
I asked whether it was all waterproof for wading and was told it was, but he couldn't tell me where the air intake was positioned as I'd want that brought up into the engine bay.
