Air bag light issue

So, after some work removing all of the underside of the dash for another issue, I put everything back the way it came off. To include the re connection of the airbag wiring plug (passenger side panel). Once completed the Air Bag light came on the dashboard. So, I discounted the panel again to check if I had connected the plug correctly, which I had, but Im still faced with the dashboard light issue.

Any of the forum members had this issue before, or similar, and if so. How can I correct this issue please?

Thank you

If you turned the ignition on whilst the airbag cable was disconnected that is what has caused the fault light. It'll need clearing with VCDS. I'm not sure if carista can clear that one, but happy to be corrected.

You could try a reset to see if it clears if not a fault scan will tell you why its on but either way you will kit some diag kit to move forwards with it
Carista is the cheapest if you want to do it yourself or you could try finding someone with VCDS in your area ?

Did you have the ignition on when it was disconnected? If so, you'll need a code reader to clear the code. You'll need a reader now regardless now though to see and clear the fault

Thank you. I have a small code reader but that hasn't sorted it. I'll try a VCDS.
